CASUALS BETTER THAN ENGLAND?

GET STUCK IN: Something England haven?t done in South Africa

After two lacklustre England displays, Westminster Casuals fans have vented their fury and called for the 2010 League Cup winners to replace Fabio Capello's squad in South Africa.

One such fan - Brainy's boss Gouldy - was first to bemoan the lack of pride, passion, and commitment displayed by England in the games against USA and Algeria. "Comparing the Casuals' fighting spirit shown in the clinical dismantling of Tooting Bec, to the last two England performances is like comparing Stuart Pearce's Euro 96 penalty against Spain, with France in a world war" he said.

"I for one would prefer to see the Casuals line up against Slovenia in Port Elizabeth."

Self proclaimed Casuals Number One fan Dan 'Standing Start' Whitworth is in total agreement. "Having witnessed the Casuals blow away the league champions to win the cup I couldn't wait to get behind England over the summer. However after the start we've had I think they should have flown Captain Toff in as a replacement for Rio."

Matt Creely has been distinctly unimpressed with England's strikers. "I've seen more movement in Phil Malcolm's left arm" he said.

Although the clamour to get the Casuals out to South Africa is gathering pace, not all would be eligible to play for England. Dracula has a Romanian passport and the Shih Tzu Davey Mac is of Chinese extraction.

In addition FIFA have confirmed that Middle Earth does not have the same status as Jersey and Guernsey and so Sam Holder would also miss out.

For all interested a number of Casuals will be convening in the Walkabout at Temple on Wednesday to watch England's final group game which kicks off at 3pm.
